Emily wanted a “green quilt” and I began collecting fabrics and assembling them into blocks.  I was laying them out on the floor of my studio while my mom was visiting and she took a look and I asked her what she thought.  She said, “If Emily want’s a green quilt, I don’t think she will like it.”  Sure enough, I had strayed far from the green concept.  I made many more blocks before I got it right and had enough leftovers to make a couple of charity quilts with them.  Emily says she loves the result.
