In this quilt, I experimented with greyscale to see if I could really get a likeness without color.  I couldn’t bring myself to make grey lips on my beautiful daughter, thus the fuchsia lips.  I’m not sure they were an improvement.  It was also my first experiment with detail in the hair.  I appreciate my daughter’s tolerance for my experimentation with her likeness.
