My daughter wanted a traditional, queen-sized quilt and I have always been enamored by the idea of making a double wedding ring quilt, so this is it.  I have an aversion to white, in almost everything, so replaced the traditional white parts of the design with a colorful Kaffe Fassett stripe.  This opened the way for me to substitute the pieced rings with solids … in reds and oranges.  It was a long process, but the result was worth it.
