In my family and community this is my most recognizable quilt.  My husband, Jim,  has a favorite hat that he wears whenever he believes there is the remotest chance of rain.  The women in the family all groan when he puts it on and we refer to it as “the nerd hat.”  Jim just makes a silly grin and he and hat move along.
